De stillevens by the British artist Ivon Hitchands were her source of inspiration. You can see this not only in the heldere, slightly darker colours, but also in the simple looking weave patterntroon. This collection of furniture fabrics is made from chenille yarn, with the striped expression running in the direction of the weft.
